Boston Terrier Print
8.5” x 11” open edition screen-print, black ink on speckle tone off white paper, hand printed and signed by the artist.
Unlike the majority of dogs, Boston Terriers were bred in America. They are a mix of the older English bulldog and English terrier and were first called American Bull Terriers. Even with the nickname “roundheads”, there was still too much confusion with the longer snouted English Bull Terriers, so they were renamed Boston Terrier. They are referred to today as “the American gentleman” because of their classic tuxedo-like markings.
